7 Dogs Brewpub

This one-story concrete masonry building was built in 1946, with additions in 1954. The building was commonly known as the Carpenter Hosiery Mill until its rebirth as the 7 Dogs Brewpub in 2019. The original building is a column-free space spanned by delicate steel bowstring trusses. The two additions have low-slope roofs, with steel-framed windows and concrete masonry walls matching the original building.

The original building adapted well to the main dining space, a bar, a commercial kitchen and a private dining room. The brewery occupies the lean-to addition on the side of the original building. An addition adjoining the back of the original building provides another dining space, with a satellite bar and a stage for live music.

An open area adjacent to the brewery and the music room provides an outdoor gathering space accessible via the original dock. This area includes space for cornhole and light refreshments during mild weather.
